About the Aircraft

The 303rd Tactical Fighter Squadron of JASDF is a newly formed squadron at Komatsu Air Base in 1976. The squadron operated the F-4EJ at first and changed the model to the F-15J from 1987. The squadron emblem "Dragon" is the call sign "Dragon" of the predecessor 4th Squadron, and has the motif of a dragon that lives in Mountain Hakusan, the hometown of Komatsu base. In 2017, the F-15J #817 was painted with special marking to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the squadron's founding.
 

About the Kit

This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit for JASDF F-15J, the main fighter of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force on 1/72 scale.
■ The finished size is 27cm in length.
■ Reproduce the commemorative painting for the 40th anniversary of 303rd Squadron’s founding in 2017.
■ The aircraft shape, and the details such as the panel line are modeled in detail.
■ The engine nozzle was recreated by dividing parts realistically.
■ The dragon markings on two vertical stabilizers are reproduced by Cartograf made decals with high quality.
