About the Aircraft

The F/A-18 Hornet has been widely operated in the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps from 1983 to 2019. The maiden flight of F/A-18C was in 1986. Powered by two F404-GE402 turbofan engines, the F/A-18 performed a top speed of 1190 mph. In addition to the fixed armament of one 20mm M61A1 Vulcan cannon, a total of 9 hardpoints are mounted under the wing, and capable to operate missiles such as AMRAAM air-to-air missiles, Maverick air-to-surface missiles, Harpoon anti-ship missile, etc. The F/A-18 continued to play an active role as a fleet defense and interceptor.
 

About the Kit

This is a 1/144 scale plastic model kit that reproduces the U.S. Navy carrier-capable fighter F/A-18 Hornet.
★The model is a single-seat F/A-18C.
★F-toys parts with small number of parts make it easy to assemble.
★The finish is 11cm in length with a sharp airframe shape.
★The landing gear and cockpit are finely modeled.
★Two optional markings are selected from the F/A-18C belonging to VFA-151 Squadron which was deployed at NAF Atsugi AB in Japan.
★The decals including the skull marking on the tail wing are made by Cartograf.
