About the Aircraft

The adversary squadron in the US Navy is a squadron that is trained to act as an opposing force in the simulated air combat for the skill improvement training of pilots at the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School, commonly known as the Top Gun. The F-14 Tomcat was deployed and operated as the trainer aircraft from 1973 until 2003. The F-14A Tomcat features a variable-sweep wing and high maneuverability, which is useful for air combat training. The Top Gun F-14 had various camouflage paintings different from the normal squadron, and it attracted a great deal of attention.
